Ruby's Recipe

This recipe makes enough for my
12 & 1/2# dog for 5 & 1/2 days

(she gets 2.5oz twice daily) which is roughly 2.5% of her weight

1 LB Meat (chicken thighs boneless and skinless)
4 oz beef heart
1oz beef or chicken liver
1 oz other secreting organ (kidney, spleen, thymus, pancreas, lung, testicles, brains --I feed beef kidneys)
1 sardine
1/2 teaspoon per # of meat ground egg shell OR  Calcium Citrate 500mg per # of meat.  (I use 2.5 tablets of the stuff I have)
1 raw egg
2oz of veggies (broccoli, spinach, carrots, pumpkin, & blueberries
(--all chosen for their antioxidant properties)

(note we are dealing with a weak immune system, with yeast overgrowth on her body as well as itching from allergies so these doses are quite high)
1/4 to 1/2 cup of water (makes mixing the supplements in easier)
Morton's Lite Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Garlic 1/4 clove a day (1/2 teaspoon + maybe 1/8 teaspoon minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon=1clove)
Vitamin E (high doser for skin problems) 800IU per day (10 capsules)
Vitamin A 10,000 per day (4 capsules)
Selenium 20mcg per day, I did 1/4 tablet + 1/8 so roughly 1/3 of a tablet
Zinc 7.5mg per day (1 capsule)
B-Complex tablets(50mg per tablet) 5 tablets
Coconut Oil 2 & 1/2 teaspoons (1/4 teaspoon twice daily)
Probiotic/Digestive Enzyme blend 2.25mg (I ground up one tablet)
Multi-Vitamin 1/4 tablet once a day (I used one of my husbands One a Day for Men tablets)
5 squirts (1000mg each) Allerg3 or Fish Oil Capsules
Glucosamine 2 & 1/2 tablets (1500mg per 2 tablets) trying for 500mg per day
